For more than a decade, Compressco has been the industry leader in Production Enhancement Services, Utilizing the compact, yet powerful GasJack™ wellhead compressor, Compressco continually develops new and innovative ways to increase production and profits in marginal gas wells. Our new Backslide Auto Injection System (BAIS) is a revolutionary method of de-liquefying oil and gas wells. The system works by monitoring tubing pressure to detect when a well falls below critical flow rate. When the tubing pressure starts to drop, (indicating a buildup of liquids in your tubing) the gas flow is redirected down the tubing-casing annulus to provide the needed additional flow rate to unload the well. As soon as tubing pressure begins to rise (indicating your well is unloaded and free of liquids) the discharge gas is automatically redirected back down the sales line.

The versatile GasJack™ is the only compressor on the market that can respond to the varying suction and discharge pressures needed to make the BAIS work so efficiently. In addition to the “on-the-fly” adjustments to operating pressures, the GasJack™ can discharge up to 450 psig if required for annular injection pressure.

BAIS Case Study #1After installation of GasJack™ and BAIS, daily gas production increased from 30 MCFGPD to 170 MCFGPD, maintaining an average daily rate of 188 MCFGPD over 22 months. Calculated incremental reserves of 98 MMCF were produced over same period.


Case Study #2

BAIS Case Study #2The pre-BAIS production rate was 40 MCFD. A typical U-Tube situation where casing would build up to 800 psig and unload with casing falling to 400 psig. BAIS begins with casing at 400 psig, the gas to fluid ratio is now back in balance and the fluid stays entrained in the increased gas velocity and is lifted up the tubing to the surface. Casing pressure falls which represents a reduction of fluid in the tubing BAIS production rate is 140 MCFD.
